This policy explains what TrueMate ("the app", "we") collects, why, and what control you have over it. TrueMate is an AI companion app for adults.
Replies are produced by a third-party large language model. The content of your messages is transmitted to that provider for the sole purpose of generating a response. Characters in TrueMate are fictional software, not real people, and their replies are machine-generated and may be inaccurate.
We do not sell your conversations, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.
We rely on the following processors, each of which receives only the data needed to perform its function:
The free tier of TrueMate shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, which may use your device advertising identifier to select them. You can reset or limit that identifier in your device settings, and an active subscription removes ads entirely.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Full instructions are on our data deletion page.
Purchase and transaction records may be retained where tax or accounting law requires it, after being disconnected from your profile.
TrueMate is intended only for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, or to object to certain processing. The in-app deletion tool satisfies erasure immediately; for anything else, contact us.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls at our providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app.
Reach us through Settings → Support in the app, or through the developer contact address shown on our Google Play and App Store listings.
